Dr. Robert Zieve, M.D. is now offering his knowledge and experience nationally to anyone with a cancer diagnosis.

Many people throughout the nation are unable to go to a good national integrative cancer clinic like the ones we have in Prescott, AZ and Boulder, CO. Now, you can make a phone or skype appointment with Dr. Zieve for a comprehensive consultation. Dr. Zieve will provide a comprehensive written consultation to you, after your phone consultation with him. This will include nutritional guidance, advice as to integrative cancer therapies you may be able to receive closer to your home, advice and recommendations on tests you may need, and guidance on how to interact with your oncologist or surgeon. Of course, if you have a naturopathic physician or holistic MD or DO in your area, Dr. Zieve is happy to work with your physician in guiding your care. 

Dr Zieve will discuss with you the type of herbs and nutrients that he has prescribed for some of his patients with your particular type of cancer. He will also suggest lab tests to ask your doctor to order for you, that could detect imbalances which could interfere with your progress with your oncologist. He will also make suggestions that your Medicare physician or oncologist can do some testing on your original biopsy slides, to learn more about your particular cancer- where its weaknesses and strengths are, and how these can be successfully addressed. 

What Dr. Zieve cannot do is prescribe any particular therapies for you, including any medications or supplements, unless you live in Arizona or Colorado, where he has a medical license. However, if you have a local licensed physician who would work with Dr. Zieve on your behalf, he can suggest particular therapies to your physician for consideration. Many oncologists, unfortunately, are not receptive to integrative oncology practices. However, Dr. Zieve can compose an email to your oncologist with particular suggestions to support your program.

Our initial consultation will last approximately 1-1.5 hours. He requests that each new patient type a one-page summary of their cancer story.  Dr. Zieve is very thorough in his evaluation and development of treatment protocols, he requests that each new patient make every attempt to provide any scans, lab tests, path reports, surgical reports, and physician consultations that are pertinent to your cancer, prior to your initial consultation. This will give him an opportunity to review your records prior to speaking.Y

1. After your initial consultation, if necessary, Dr. Zieve will likely provide you with a form for additional lab requests that are required to evaluate your biological terrain.
2. In the days after your initial consultation, Dr. Zieve will e-mail or print for you a comprehensive initial consultation report, which will include his thoughts, comments, and suggestions. He will also provide you with an initial therapy protocol.
3. Dr. Zieve will advise you when to schedule your first followup consultation. The purposes of your follow-up visit are to review your lab results, discuss the consult report he sent you, as well as the suggested therapy program, and help you plan and strategize your future care, whether that be at our clinic or with your oncologist or surgeon. He will also and answer any and all questions that you have.
